The Graduate Program in Homeland Security at San Diego State University commemorated the graduating Class of 2018 at the USS Midway on Friday, May 11, 2018. The 13th graduating class, consisting of 55 graduates, celebrated this significant milestone amidst friends, families, and SDSU HSEC faculty.
The 55 graduates, and everyone else in attendance, had the opportunity to listen to both Introductory Keynote speaker, HSEC Professor Colonel John Persano, U.S. Marine Corps and Visionary Keynote, Vice Admiral Martoglio, U.S. Navy (Ret.) The audience listened with due respect as both speakers emphasized the importance of leadership in the workforce, a required trait that is needed to effectively execute tasks to succeed in the realm of Homeland Security.
Following the keynote speeches, the following students were on the spotlight for their diligent contribution to academics, service to the community, and nation.
